Amisha Wants Dirty Fever

Ameesha Patel, who has just recovered from dengue, is mad at Mumbaikars for allowing diseases to thrive
Ameesha Patel is on the road to recovery from a bout of dengue. The actress had been housebound for over a fortnight after a nagging temperature was diagnosed as dengue fever.
The disease is caused due to mosquito bites and is widespread during the monsoon. Having been a victim, she wants Mumbaikars to have civic sense and rid the city of filth and stagnant waters -- the breeding grounds of mosquitoes.
"I have never felt so horrible. You can't do anything but be bedridden, " moans the actress. It began with a fever coupled with severe headaches and nausea.
"When my condition didn't improve, I had a blood test done. Initially I thought it would be malaria but later the doc told me I had dengue! My white blood corpuscle levels went alarmingly low."
As a result she had to do blood tests every day. "And every time it went up I felt like celebrating by popping champagne. Jokes apart, I could not even eat anything! Nor could I read or watch TV. It was just endless days of popping pills."
Ameesha adds, "It was a horrible experience and I don't want anyone to be in it."
As dengue fever continues to spread in Mumbai, she wishes Mumbaikars would keep the city clean. "It is so sad that we still have to face a mosquito menace. Mumbaikars have no civic sense. Whenever I see anyone littering, I make a noise about it and tell them to stop. If everyone took it upon themselves to not throw garbage around, it will make a big difference."
The actress also wants the authorities concerned to attend to the sewage and clear stagnant pools of water as soon as possible. "This leads to a mosquito menace in the city causing illnesses. If we all pitch in, our city can be better. Ask me, I suffered because of it. Who would know it better? Let's all make a concerted effort to keep our city clean."

Aamir Khan play Dilip Kumars role in Dhobi Ghat movie up coming.

They just do not call him a 'Perfectionist' for nothing. Whatever he does, he does it in elan and style! We are indeed referring to the one and only Aamir Khan, who is now all set to do a Dilip Kumar in his wife Kiran Rao's next film Dhobi Ghat.
Aamir has convinced the Bimal Roy family to lend him a song from Madhumati, the masterpiece film that starred the legendary Dilip Kumar and the ever-so-gracious Vyjayantimala. News has it that, it did take efforts on Aamir's side to convince Bimal Roy's family to lend him the rights to use the super hit 1958 Lata-Mukesh number 'Dil Tadap Tadap Ke Kaha Raha Hai Aa Bhi Jaa' in Dhobi Ghat.
Reports have it that Bimal Roy's family members are okay if Aamir remixes the song. One is waiting now with bated breath to see Aamir doing a Dilip Kumar!
Vivek Oberoi and 'Swayamvar Season 3" a Jumboo Movie

Has Vivek Oberoi been signed for Season 3 of 'Swayamvar', the reality show at a TV channel that had earlier roped in Rakhi Sawant and Rahul Mahajan for Season 1 and Season 2 respectively?
That's the buzz going around the B-town for the week gone by. While sources have claimed that Vivek is a hot contender for the show, considering his single status and popularity amongst women, the fact is something entirely different. The actor, who has seen a new lease to his professional career post Prince, is in no mood to tie the knot in near future, least of all on a reality show.
"This is as ridiculous as it gets", says a source close to Vivek, "There is no truth to the entire story and is imaginative as it gets. Earlier there were names like Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni spoken around. Then there were some other lesser names also that came in. Now all of a sudden Vivek's name has cropped up. It isn't even funny to be laughed away."
A 'news' like this comes at the time when Vivek is looking forward to his upcoming assignment like Ram Gopal Varma's Rakta Charitra, Part I of which is aiming for a September release. After that, there is also a Mani Ratnam film which is pretty much on the anvil.
No wonder, conspiracy theories are being discussed in hush-hush tone. Last 12 months had seen an upswing in Vivek's career with first Kurbaan and then Prince lighting up the scene for him. Just when the actor had got through the 'let bygones be bygones' phase and moved on to concentrate entirely on his work and refused to get into any personal conversations, a news piece like 'Swayamvar' stands out like a sore thumb.
While Vivek refused to comment on the entire 'issue', one wonders whether his silence has yet again made him a soft target for media as well as industry alike? What can be said for sure though is that there is lot more he can be expected to talk about once his film comes closer to release. After all Ramu's gritty reel world of Rakta Charitra inspired from real life can be expected to make for a far better outing than 'Swayamvar' where the difference between real and reel world could be considerably blurred!
